Ultimate Reef Tracker

App support

Helpful answers for protecting your reef history, exporting records, managing tanks, and connecting optional camera streams.

Where is my reef information stored?

Tank profiles, readings, livestock, equipment, notes, and app-managed photos are stored locally on your Android device. The app does not currently sync them to a TealWire cloud account.

How should I protect my records?

Use the app’s CSV export regularly and keep copies in a location you control. Do not uninstall the app or clear its Android storage until you have preserved the records you need.

Does CSV export include my photos?

No. CSV preserves measurements, dates, and written observations. It does not currently package the original photo files.

Why will my camera stream not connect?

Use a secure HTTPS HLS, MP4, or MJPEG stream URL. RTSP-only or unencrypted HTTP cameras require an HTTPS-capable gateway. Confirm the stream works on the same device and network before adding it.

Can I manage more than one aquarium?

Yes. Each aquarium can have its own profile, volume, target ranges, readings, livestock, equipment, camera address, and history.

What should I include in a problem report?

Include the app version, Android version, phone model, the screen involved, what you expected, what happened, and the steps that reproduce the issue. Never send aquarium-camera passwords or private signing credentials.

Before an update

Export first.

Keep a recent CSV copy before changing phones, clearing storage, or replacing an installation. Leave an older private-development app installed until its information is safely preserved.

Google Play testing

Share useful feedback.

Closed testers should use real tank workflows and report confusing screens, failed saves, display problems, or unexpected behavior through the private feedback option provided with the test.

Privacy

No secrets in support messages.

Never include camera passwords, banking information, Google credentials, private app-signing files, or upload-key passwords in a support message.
